Broadway Hallelujah!

This man used to walk up and down Broadway, between about 96th and 106th Street, shouting, “Hallelujah, Hallelujah…” over and over again or, sometimes, “Jesus loves you, Jesus loves you,” without cease. I have not seen him in a while, but this picture was taken in July, 2004.

Another of the earlier pictures in my series, The Burghers of Broadway, currently appearing on the NYPL (New York People Live) Facebook page. This one is from July, 2004.

I’m traveling this week and away from Lightroom. So we’ll delve back into the archives for more from The Burghers of Broadway, currently appearing on NYPL. I believe this woman was an adherent of Falun Gong (though it might have been Tai Chi). Unfortunately, this is from my early digital days (2004) and all that remains is an over-processed, low-res jpeg.
