Former Window
Flower Still Lifes
December (2003) saw me on my first business trip to Australia. I had a lot of fun taking obligatory shots of the Sydney Opera and the harbor bridge and just walking the streets. I got a lot of very colorful shots of unfamiliar flowers in the Conservatory Gardens, which appear to have been helped along by some injudicious use of the contrast and saturation sliders, their history lost to my early Photoshop zeal.
Red and Yellow
More high-contrast, high-saturation fun with the 5-MP Konica-Minolta Dimage in November, 2003.
Stained Glass Leaves
I’m not sure how much I ruined the original jpeg file here, with contrast and saturation sliders, but I do remember the leaves looking like this with the California sun illuminating them from behind.
Boxed In
This one’s not such a great photograph technically, but it’s always been one of my favorites: my daughter crawling through a school street fair fun-house created out of decorated cardboard boxes. Also from late 2003.
