Down here, these two would have been talking and found out they came from the same town, knew someone who was a close friend of theirs, and isn’t that the most beautiful jacket she is wearing?! Moving from NJ to FL was culture shock, but I love how Southerners never meet a stranger.
I think it’s something that can happen when you’re not living in such close quarters with so many strangers and you have the time to let go and expand (and you’re not a xenophobe).
