My wife still consults her cookbooks. I’ve mostly shifted to the iPad but that big white binder contains favorites I’ve printed out in years past…getting a cookbook shelf in the kitchen was an important sign we’d finally arrived at adulthood.
My worst fear is when my husband says, “Hey, why don’t you make the dish that we liked?” Oh, dear. He is so easy to please and I love cooking/baking so we play charades with me trying to find out what was in that dish he liked. I did a big binder of all our favorite recipes (with notes) and presented them to my kids several years ago at Christmas. That was a labor of love.
You can never have too many cookbooks! I’ve photographed mine, too. By morning light. Yeah, I got fancy.
