      1. Unfortunately, it does appear that things are sliding back into ‘mask mandates’ again. Enough. is enough–we need to breathe! In the past during plagues, people used to carry flowers in their pockets because they thought that would purify the air around them (and then they wouldn’t get sick). Made them feel a little safer, but it didn’t really work. Putting “protective’ flowers in pockets during the Black Death (1347-1350) and the London Plague ( 1665) is the origin of the following children’s song:
        Ring around the rosie,
        Pockets full of posies;
        Atschoo, atschoo, (or, Ashes, ashes)
        We all fall down…..”
