As much as I loved capturing the trace of human artifice in nature in the Meadowlands project, I really enjoy capturing Nature erupting in the human built environment. In many of these images I am also seeking the sense of a formal painted portrait with the background wall acting as the blank canvas or backdrop before which the subject is posed.
