It’s perhaps worth mentioning that I’m generally not interested in “pretty flower” shots. But sometimes I just can’t help myself. This is such a case: the lone bluish flower with the delicate veins standing out from the bed of red flowers seemed impossible not to photograph.

    1. Yes, If I recall correctly this was late in the day and I had to position myself so I didn’t cast my own shadow across the image while at the same time maintaining the angle I wanted to show the separation of the foreground flower from those in the background.
