Blog Note

I have not been feeling inspired lately. We shall see if the muse returns or has fled forever to other parts.

    1. Thank you! I did take a long walk with the camera today and I think perhaps there will be a few pictures, including a few frames I found already in the camera from the past week or so.

  1. Oh, dear. The weather has been beastly here, also, but I cannot imagine what it is like in NY. Hopefully, the muse awakens shortly….

  2. Will await the muse’s return with great anticipation – don’t let me down though Adam – you’ve got me brave enough to sometimes take photos of people doing random things, a great step for me.

    1. Thanks! The weather’s been beastly, a new job keeps me chained to my desk (not really, but I feel like I OUGHT to be there), and various family crises are sapping my energy and faith in the value of documenting NY life in the early 21st century. I may sally forth this afternoon….

      1. Hi Adam – that combination will certainly sap the life out of you. I’m 2 years into my latest ‘new’ job so have just about lost the guilt of having a weekend. We had some real sunshine today – that was a surprise – took the dog out for a run. Went to Ikea – thought about buying a new mattress – but just tried out different ones. Bought a new bookshelf. Came home. Put up an end of the month post. Read all the nice comments. Cooked tea. Watched a bit of netflix. Will tumble onto old mattress and imagine it’s a new mattress. It’s Monday for us before it’s Monday for you guys so that should make you smile…

        1. Thanks, Chas. We are going to walk the historic parts of Tarrytown, NY, today (my wife doesn’t like to let me languish morosely for too long) so I don’t doubt but that there will be a few postcard-type frames out of that. Then back to the salt mines tomorrow.

    1. Thanks! I have my family’s usual week at the Jersey shore coming up at the end of August – trouble is the family’s dwindled to nothing as the old have died and the young have grown upand moved on. But the seashore has sometimes been a source of inspiration in the past so perhaps, in my Prufrock way, I will hear again the mermaids singing, each to each.
