Most of my hotel room windows look out on parking lots, rooftops or air conditioning vents. This time I was able to pick a “river view room.” It was night when we arrived. It was pitch black out and there were footlights shining straight up from the ground outside our 2nd floor window – we couldn’t see a thing. Imagine our delight to wake up and disover this view!
