I’m abdicating my artistic and curatorial responsibilities and leaving it up to you to decide.  Which do you prefer: the original in hazy color (top) or the sepia-toned and vignetted black & white version (below)?

  1. I looked at both photos long and hard and could not make up my mind. So I walked all the way downstairs to get a glass of wine and to give my eyes and brain time away from the photos. When I came back up I saw the two photos on my computer monitor from the top of the stairs and I was really drawn to the color version. Sitting back down I have to say that the blue of the sky reflected in the buildings contrasted with the sepia/grey tones of the pylons and the foreground building does it for me. So my vote has to be for #1.

    1. Thanks for such thoughtful consideration of the question. After so many votes for the B&W its nice to hear someone speaking up for the underdog. You’ve re-awakened the debate in my mind!
