There’s a viral internet video of people ignoring a famous violinist playing beautiful classical music at Washington’s Union Station that is often posted to indicate what dolts people are. But I think it’s a bit unfair to castigate busy people on their way to work or home. They need to feed their children or meet their lovers at the end of the day and they’re not in a fit mood to appreciate the musician as anything other than a potential obstacle to their immediate goal. It’s hard for most to stop and smell the roses when they’re rushing through the station. But it was nice to listen to him play till the train came and I rushed off (or as T S Eliot put it, “till human voices wake us, and we drown.”)
I mean ignoring the ‘real context’.
I also like the title.
How beautiful to see that the guitarist keeps on smiling.
He was very good.
Can imagine. How strange that people ignored him! Everbody must have been twittering about music. 😉
Un abrazo.

I totally agree.
