Thanks for the various answers (2 for color, 1 for monochrome at this point). I think the problem here is that the color is adding something but the subject type is usually best handled in monochrome. Perhaps I need to try another version of the color where I push the color gamut into a narrower range, preserving some of what the color highlights while still having a monochromatic feel. I may keep working this file till I’m happy with the final image. Watch this space.
Both pictures are good. But I would go for monochrome. The color distract the eye.

My heart says monochrome.
Color. So much more expression.
Both are good. But I would go for color. The lady in blue is funny and more visible in color.
