As the author of a novel called “Subway Hitchhikers,” I’m very fond of watching fellow travelers on a train. Or, living where I do, of watching what fellow bloggers are watching.
I think that’s generally true in underground trains in big cities, especially at the end of the evening rush hour and, I think I can generalize to say, particularly in poorer neighborhoods where people work hard for low pay (this was taken while the train was in Harlem, around 125th St, if I recall correctly)

Thanks. The subway is an endlessly interesting venue.
The title ist good, but the live in New York seems very hard! There are only serious faces in the subway.
