        1. Hirschfeld was an artist famous for his line drawings that appeared in the Sunday NY Times (and elsewhere) every weekend. He always worked his daughter Nina’s name into the drawings and the numeral next to his signature told you the number of times it appeared in each drawing. It was a pleasant little puzzle each week to search the illustrations to find all the Ninas.

    1. Thanks! – it’s not easy coming up with so many titles so some are more of a stretch than others. Also, on my monitor, before they get squeezed down to blog size the text is often larger and easier to read and I don’t realize how things will be obscured by shrinking in advance.
