The last time I posted a portrait of Rui I mentioned that he was being forced out of business by the co-op building his shop was housed in. Here he his on December 30th, his second to last day in business with the shelves bare.

Very sorry for Rui. Was he able to relocate?
No, he’s either retiring or starting a pick-up and delivery business he told me about. He’ll drive to the neighborhood and call former customers to see if they have laundry to pickup. Then he’ll take it to the industrial laundry and deliver it back on his subsequent rounds a few days later. I’m skeptical of that working but wish him luck.
