Oh, I love a photo with a lot going on. All the emotions show here: the girl on the left is happy; the middle child looks not too happy at all. The boy is a bit of a concern but he adds another element to the photo. I like it lots.
Thanks! I was actually wondering about this. One guide to photography suggests that having multiple layers of interest in a photograph adds to the power of the image; another contends that one ought to focus the viewers’ attention clearly without distraction. So this image clearly adheres to the former and contradicts the latter. I wonder if others will appreciate that as you do.
