Yes – I know we take the Garden State when we go down to Southern Jersey to the shore. I simply trust my Jersey girl wife on how to go where we go in Jersey. The turnpike has recently been widened quite a bit but can still become unpleasantly snarled as one approaches the NYC crossings, as it was on this occasion, delaying us by about an hour…

Thanks! I think they’re really all different attempts at a single image. In some respects the blog is my workshop as opposed to my gallery, showing works in progress rather than final portfolio images. As such you’re seeing my thought process unfold about whether to crop to panoramic cityscape or just stick with the original 2:3 frame dimensions.
Growing up in NJ, I lived across the street from part of the Garden State Pkwy. We always thought that was the way to travel, never the (ugh!) Turnpike. But the view is really quite pretty.
