Looking at this photo and thinking about your other post about the ‘betterment of life’. This, with all its opulence, gives the illusion of money well spent when it is mostly just money spent. I figure the gentlemen on the right is scrolling through his phone, checking Amazon for a cheaper price of the item in the window. 😆
Hmmmn… once again the reply I wrote to this seems to have disappeared. I said something like:
I bet he is. The galleries are, not surprisingly, mostly in glitzier parts of town so, walking from one to another, one gets to see how the wealthy live (or at least where they shop). As a tourist, it can be tremendous fun but it doesn’t bear too much thinking about before inequality rears its ugly head.
