Thanks, Don. I hadn’t noticed the age element here. But I’m often struck by how tuned out everyone is these days. The streets and subways are filled with people already jacked into the Matrix, as it were. We seem to be tuning out the people we’re surrounded by in favor of the virtual environments we prefer to immerse ourselves in.

The contrast of media is strikingly evident here. It’s interesting how the youngest rider is interacting with the oldest form of media represented. I suppose she has yet to “tune out.” Your images say so much about our contemporary state of cultural interaction.
