What a coincidence! I was only chatting about scooters with the missus yesterday, saying how I though the new lightweight small wheel jobs were marvellous thing. I’ve used my lad’s scooter on a couple of occasions to get myself down to the repair shop to pick up my car – there’s a gentle slope all the way down, about 1/2 mile. I’ve had some looks of amusement from people I’ve passed, a baldy, 50+ guy going hell for leather down the road on a scooter does create a funny image.
Yes, indeed. In my neighborhood one often sees someone my age on a scooter and I can never help but feel its incongruity. I know this is unfair, foolish and curmudgeonly, a thought that is unworthy and unjust, but it always seems, somehow, undignified to me.
Great title!
Thanks!

When has fun been dignified? 😉
Good point!
