He told me he expected a windfall soon. The DA would be dropping a false charge against him for lack of evidence and at that point he would be able to sue successfully for false arrest. In the meantime, he was on his way to work and could use some help getting a hot meal.

That’s why I always carry a spare battery and charger in my bag (of course, sometimes I forget to recharge the dead battery so that’s no help). My camera has a nasty tendency for either the ev adjustment to move or the ISO to move from “auto” to 100. At ISO 100 one can rarely get a picture in the subway.
Nicely pic, caught in the right moment. 🙂
Thanks! This shot actually took 3 attempts. One of the too easily turned knobs on my camera had been knocked off course leading to very slow shutter speeds and it it took me a couple of tries to realize what the problem was and correct it (and even this one is not rock steady). But he was willing to keep taking this stance every time I asked and then came and sat beside me and told me his story.
Haha. Ok. Cameras behava weird sometimes. My smaller camera, when you turn it from automatic to manual, it automatically activated the self-timer, 10 seconds. The first time I had no idea what it was doing. I took me me about 10 minutes to figure out what happend. haha. And yesterday I was going out with my Canon, and forgot to change the battery to a charged one. Big mistake. But managed som shots for an article about Green Jobs that I´m writing. It is weird that it only happens when you really have something you need to be done.
