This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve run into journalist Gabe Pressman in the neighborhood – I’m pretty sure he must live on my corner. this time I stopped and asked if I could take his picture and afterwards explained to my daughter how he used to be TV news reporter. Then I got home and looked him up. NBC still lists him on active duty even though he was 90 last month and, as you can see, he was still wearing his Press ID.
I actually think he looks better in this picture than I remember him on tv — more human and softer.
