This was odd. Came upon this bird just lying, dead, apparently, in the middle of the sidewalk. It doesn’t seem to be a local, wild bird – perhaps an escaped pet?

Went through Google to see if I could identify it – but no luck…
Poor little fellow… I indeed think that it was a pet bird that wanted a taste of freedom… And not so lucky as the kakariki I managed to save…
It did occur to me that it could be a model of some kind but I couldn’t tell.
