Curiously, while there were tourists everywhere, many of them were speaking Flemish (Dutch). A Belgian friend of mine explained that for the Dutch, a day trip to major Belgian cities like Brussels and Antwerp for shopping, etc. is quite convenient and common and may be closer than one of Holland’s major cities, like Rotterdam or Amsterdam.
