Such a shame.
Yes, who knows, maybe someday, after they finish the oft-mooted extension, perhaps they’ll rebuild it. Whitey, however, is long gone.
I remember your post about this. Build then rebuild…biggest waste of money ever.
A lot of money was wasted over the decades it took to get it built with starts and stops, but it’s definitely been transformative for people on the upper east side. Now they’re talking about a Phase II extension up to 125th St so people in Harlem get to take advantage, too, and not just Wall St types.
