Twin Tower Memory
I’ve posted this before and elsewhere, but it seemed appropriate to re-post it today. This was taken with my very first SLR in March 1970 on my first day out shooting.
Brooklyn Bridge Park
Brooklyn Bridge with World Trade Towers
Have I posted this before? When I was 13, I bought my first SLR, the Minolta SRT101 with a 55mm f1.7 lens. The following weekend, my father decided to take me out shooting and chose the Brooklyn Bridge as a good place to go. It was a raw March day. In those days NY often had an abandoned look. There was no one there. This has long been one of my most popular shots, made all the more poignant since the hideous, neighborhood-destroying towers no longer stand.
