Dining with his companion at McDonald’s…. When I made the sign of wanting to take his picture through the window he graciously agreed and removed his glasses, then put them back on to look at the picture on the back of my camera through the window.

I went to see a documentary about the photographer Gregory Crewdson, “Brief Encounters,” the other night at the Film Forum and spent the rest of the evening taking Crewdson-inspired night shots, hand-held at high ISOs around Greenwich Village with my NEX-7. No million dollar sound-stages and 8×10 view cameras for me. A few more to follow over the next day or so.
