Pl Poelaert Portraits

While we were admiring the view, I saw these 2 young men taking a selfie. Using hand signals with my rusty French, they agreed to let me take their picture. I shared my photo business card with them and the one on the right asked me to take a picture of him solo.

    1. I’ve never noticed that gender was a distinguishing characteristic of who agrees to have their picture taken and who doesn’t. It sometimes seems to me that immigrants are more reluctant but since I don’t ask them if they’re immigrants that may be an unconscious bias of mine.

      1. I was curious. When I see someone pull out a camera, I duck. Not a fan of having my picture taken. The men in your photos are always smiling, though.
