Alaskan coast

As many of you will have sussed by now, I did my first (and dare I say, last) ocean cruise a few weeks ago and have been regaling (or boring) you with my vacation snaps. As a life-long urbanite, with my lens normally focused on the minutiae of gritty human artifice on NY’s Upper West Side this is quite a departure for me. I hope you’ll excuse this touristy excursion into Nature’s beauty.

Years ago, on film, I’d have had a haze filter. As it is, I had to fix these in post and use Fuji Velvia film simulation for landscape lush colors, attempting to recreate the intense beauty of the scenes as they looked when I was there. Click any image to see them all larger.
