
This is also from a color negative that seemed to be overly warm on the left and overly purple on the right. I have no recollection of who the band was or what the occasion was but the scan was labelled Autumn, 1975.

Once more I find myself with no new images to post so it’s back to the archives for something old. This is from a color negative that was badly scanned, leading to an all green positive file. I think these are meter maids I shot taking a break on a bench on Central Park South (W 59th St) in the Autumn of 1975. More to come…

This gentleman was sitting in the little park by himself staring thoughtfully into space. When I asked to take his picture he faced me and gave me a great smile but, unfortunately, I shot at too low a shutter speed and got too much motion blur (which I couldn’t tell instantly on the LCD) but I did get this lovely profile.

I was initially struck by the quality of the light filtering through the fiberglass skylight of the truck and started photographing the back storage area. But then this workman was very pleased that I was photographing his truck and agreed to be photographed with his truck. This is the pose he struck, unbidden.

This man was having an intensely relaxing smoke with his knee up in an almost yogic position. When I asked to take his picture he threw the cigarette away on the ground and took this pose. After I’d thanked him and showed him the picture he found the cigarette and returned to his smoking.
