Loaded for Bear?

Another 2006 shot.

Hanover is a neighbourhood we walked around with charming, brightly coloured houses – but very hilly.

The man in the car saw me passing with my camera in hand and called out to me. We then had a wide-ranging discussion for about a half-hour – or rather we listened to an amusing monologue most of that time with the occasional word got in edgewise by me or the man on the left. We covered all of the issues of the day, somewhat parabolically, with insights into the current regime alternating with arcane, insider quasi-conspiracy theories. Time well spent.

A few other shots from our time in Barrio Logan.

Walking on East Street about three weeks ago, every few minutes or so, one of these antique buses would roll by (see below) – I have no idea why, where they were coming from or going to. A few minutes after the last one had passed, along came this couple in an antique car, coincidentally or not.

Last month we took a bus and a walk to see the outdoor Museum of Rural Life. Click any image to see them all enlarged.

Out of pix so it’s back to the film archives from the 1970s with some images I don’t think I’ve posted here before.
If I recall correctly, in 1979 I bought my little brother a Pentax K-1000 for his 13th birthday and took him out shooting in the snow but failed ever to kindle the spark photography had lit for me.
