Ceci n’est pas Magritte

I returned to my series on people working On Broadway while I was in New York. For this shot I wanted to capture the apple display outside, but the light and reflections weren’t working for me. Eventually I went inside for a portrait which will appear in On Broadway in due course.

We took a walk through St Anne’s Well Gardens and discovered someone had left apples in various places.

These apples are sitting on a glass trivet which itself has a picture I took on it (great photo-product, btw). In addition to the usual tinkering with exposure and so forth, for the first time I added a texture to the background photo, just to play around with them in On1 Photo.

She affected not to care if I took a picture or not but seemed pleased with the results when I showed her.

Played with the color balance a bit here, boosting yellow and red to aim for an old color film effect with limited success.
