This one’s from September 22nd, 2010 and it reminds me of some of the aerial landscapes of Edward Burtynsky.
Almost 50 years ago, I dropped acid (LSD) for the first time. I remember staring at a wooden closet door panel for what seemed like a very long time, seeing amazing things in the pattern and then wondering if it wasn’t just a tad insane to spend long periods gazing at a piece of wood. But you have to admit, there’s lots going on here if you let your mind go…
I was taken by the combination of colors and textures. I’m not sure anyone else will be.
Another image from the archive. Beach shot taken with a 2MP Kodak digital in 2003 and dramatically over-sharpened, whether deliberately for artistic effect (or should I say affect?) or merely out of crude ignorance of sharpening technique… I can’t remember.
