Beach Reflections

The light in the clouds on the right, above, is not the sun, but a bit of a solar halo (see last post) – the sun is off to the left, just out of shot.

Back in April we took the bus west to Worthing. Inadvertently, I had switched my camera to record on chip 2 rather than the usual chip 1 and somehow never noticed it nor missed my Worthing pictures, and they remained there, on chip 2 in the camera until I recently rediscovered them. For the next few days, then, I’ll be posting pictures from that day trip.

We walked North on Ocean Beach, passing the new administration’s revamped Department of Education:

On Monday, 22 May we did our first group walk of a bit over 8 miles, approaching Holywell Bay, then traversing The Kelsey Head, Porth Joke and West Pentire before circling back.

The approach to Holywell Bay and what we found there. If viewing in email, click the post title to click into the images and see them larger.

After Plymouth we drove down to St Agnes in Cornwall (well, I didn’t drive, but we did) for our next adventure. It was already early evening and we were tired. We walked down a steep hill to the sea for a quick look. Tomorrow (22nd of May, really), the real walking tour begins! December 2003, I took the train out from Sydney to Bronte beach then walked back along the beach to Bondi. The ocean has carved these incredible rock formations, poorly captured here, I’m afraid, by my Dimage A1. Digital cameras way back then really didn’t have tremendous dynamic range.
