
Fronds grow in the River Wey and are stroked by the current. It’s always a lovely sight and one I have never really succeeded in capturing.

This mysterious life-size statue of a man contemplating the water held in his cupped hands is the work of the celebrated British sculptor Antony Gormley. Sound II, fashioned from lead out of a plaster cast of the artist’s own body, is in the Cathedral Crypt.
On Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) we took a walk up to Caesar’s Camp. Once again, I was struck by the sunken plants, shooting up out of the water and reflected back. Click any of the images to see them larger.
