These images shot from a kitchen window in New York in July just turned up on a camera I haven’t used since then.




A series of graffiti messages that have been recently popping up everywhere. These were all taken on Western Road near Brunswick Square, Brighton.

After the parade today, we walked down to the Gaslamp District and then back along Martin Luther King Promenade where I took more pictures of tablets on the ground with MLK quotations I thought were particularly apt for the era beginning today.

If we want to make America great again, we might try to manifest Martin Luther King Jr’s words, engraved here along San Diego’s Martin Luther King Promenade.



But we also saw live birds here. I was stuck by the white gull in the dark lamppost shadow:


Sticking with the catalogue of photos from Septembers in the past, this one from 2009 would have been a fitting candidate for my series on Looking Down.
