My friend Harry got a concession to offer food, drink and music on an unused sandy spit off tthe East River (seen in the background here) where the water taxi came to port in Long Island City. This shot is from September 2008.

Staying in the archives for now. Found myself on a plane with the then Secretary of State in February of 2009. She gave permission for a shot and chatted briefly but while we were walking briskly in not great light.
The Queens Plaza Clock Tower Building used to be the tallest building in the area.
