Sticking with the Tri-X film archives with some more images from the late 1970s.

Kirk Tuck’s Visual Science Lab pointed me to an interesting site the other day, Fuji-x Weekly, who list a series of “recipes” for creating a range of particular film looks (that aren’t already included out-of-the-box in my X-series cameras). Kirk was having fun with the Tri-x 400 recipe and, since that’s the film I shot the most of for a few decades, I thought I’d at least create the recipe and store it to one of the custom banks of my XT-4. This is my first test shot after creating it. Nice tonal range. More later, perhaps…

I spent the final week of 2020 quarantined in my bedroom from the day after Christmas until a couple of days into the New Year – 10 days. While I never suffered any symptoms, I had accompanied my mother to take the test that was positive in her case, potentially exposing me and I followed NY State’s guidelines (and, yes, she’s nicely recovered now, thank you). Towards the end of those 10 days I pulled out my camera, attached a 60mm macro lens (90mm e) and started looking around the bedroom for something to shoot. Fair warning: bedroom macros coming up!
