Fresnel

Point Loma, San Diego

We visited the old lighthouse and its museum where we learned about the fresnel and I took pictures from a number of angles, attempting to capture the colors passing through the prisms. We also visited the adjoining lighthouse keeper’s home and ascended the stairs and took a look out the window across the bay to San Diego.

Modern Surprise?

New York

Well, at least the lamp is straight in this one, but I look like a deer caught in the headlights and that shirt just has to go! The one below has a yellowish color cast to it and we’re the wrong size compared to the one above. Nothing yet ready to add to Modern Romance.

Shaping Glass

James Hockey Gallery, UCA, Farnham

As part of October Craft Month (Farnham is a World Craft Town) UCA hosted the Shaping Glass exhibition in the James Hockey Gallery in October, which I was lucky enough to see a little before it opened. Below are some quick snaps I took in the gallery.

Phoenix Art Space @ the Fringe

During my hour of freedom in Brighton, we walked down to the Phoenix Art Space where some of my colleagues from Work Show Grow were exhibiting as part of Rethinking Eastern Europe. On another wall, I saw the set of images above, I am because you know me – A letter to womanhood. Note, it’s yet another exhibition where I found the opportunity to photograph myself in a mirror.

Salisbury Cathedral

Salisbury Cathedral

After our 6½-mile walk, we had lunch at a pub and proceeded through the Harnham Water Meadows (shown in previous posts) to the Salisbury Cathedral. Lots of postcard-type images inside the cathedral, below (click any of the images to see them full-sized – if you’re seeing this on the web, not in email).
